It is not fair that a nation like Cuba, which has so much contributed to peace in Colombia, is included in a list of states sponsor of terrorism”, Francia Márquez posted on Twitter.
On Friday, the Colombian vice president was received by Cuban Vice President Salvador Valdés Mesa at the Revolution Palace, where both leaders met and shared the willingness to strengthen bilateral relations.
Valdés Mesa expressed his gratitude for the Colombian government´s solidarity with Cuba to call for the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States.
He also expressed his gratitude for Colombia´s support for Cuba ahead of deadly Hurricane Ian in the western provinces of the country and the death-dealing fire happened at Matanzas´ Supertanker Base.
Marquez, on the other hand, reaffirmed his country is still in debt with Cuba for all it has done in her country´s peace-building process.
