The foregoing was reflected in the final Declaration of the event that held sessions for two days and where various topics of interest were analyzed, such as labor informality in the context of post-pandemic recovery to promote a transition to formality at work.
They also took into account the adaptation of active labor market policies and investment in the development of labor market skills and competencies, as well as labor intermediation consistent with the labor demands and challenges of the labor market of the 21st century. The participants in the conclave spoke out for approving measures that favor the incorporation of women into the world of work, especially in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics careers.
In addition, they called for extending the protection of the countries where relocated workers carry out their labor, promoting social dialogue and guaranteeing respect for trade union freedom to strengthen the governance of the world of work, as well as emphasizing the role of governments as fundamental social actors.
They also supported the Spanish initiative for green collective bargaining to guarantee a sustainable transition in productive spaces. The meeting concluded this Friday was held for the purpose of the Pro Tempore Secretariat of the Ibero-American Conference held by the Dominican Republic until March, under the coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This Conference is part of the activities prior to the 28th Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, which will also be held next month in Dominican territory with the motto “Together for a just and sustainable Ibero-America”.
