The situation in the Gaza Strip, where more than two million Palestinians live under severe restrictions due to the Israeli siege, was discussed.
The coastal area has been under blockade since 2007 after Hamas took control of the territory.
Last week, an Islamic Jihad delegation also visited Cairo to analyze the situation in Gaza in the face of an escalation of violence that could lead to a new large-scale armed clash.
