Kurenkov specified that the new group of specialists is preparing to fly to the disaster area and join the rescuers already there conducting search and rescue operations in the Turkish province of Kahramanmarash, the most affected by the earthquake.
Due to the extent of the damage, Danil Martynov, adviser to the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, said on Tuesday that they were considering the possibility of increasing the number of personnel in the region where the earthquake took place.
The Ministry also explained that the personnel will work in Türkiye and Syria until the authorities of those countries complete all search and rescue operations.
