According to the newspaper, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi ordered the aid to be sent to those countries where thousands of dead and wounded have been counted.
On Tuesday, El-Sisi held telephone conversations with Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad and Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to express his solidarity and support to the current situation.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry also spoke on telephone with his counterparts from both countries.
The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit southern Turkey and neighboring Syria on Monday have left a death toll of over 10,500 persons.This last number is constantly changing, as the number of rescuers and heavy duty machines increase, according to medias reports.
