During the day, nine patients were discharged, so the number of recovered cases rose to 1,103,880 since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020, and 1,112,501 people have been infected with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. The total number of deaths remains at 8,530.

The Ministry of Public Health added that 90.3 percent of the Cuban population have been fully vaccinated with homegrown vaccines, while 8,694,346 people have received booster doses.
