According to a very recent report by Dr. Enrique Arango, deputy technical director of the National Center for Seismological Research, based in Santiago de Cuba, and head of the SSNC, the epicenter was located in northern Honduras.
The earthquake was felt in tall buildings in the city of Havana and in other nearby areas, more than 600 kilometers from the epicenter, the expert pointed out.
The daily repot, which was published on early Wednesday, only showed 10 imperceptible movements below 2.9 of five of the seismic zones into which the SSNC is divided.
