Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel conveyed his country’s solidarity and deepest condolences to peoples and governments of both nations for the aftermath of the death-dealing 7.8 magnitude earthquake which struck several provinces in southeastern Türkiye and northwestern Syria.

President Díaz-Canel mourned on Twitter the casualties, injuries and considerable material damage caused by the cataclysmic quake and expressed his willingness to collaborate to aiding those affected.

Colombia and Venezuela also expressed their support and heartfelt condolences to victims´ relatives.

Bolivian President Luis Arce expressed his solidarity with both nations ahead of ruinous incident, which “mourned two brotherly peoples”, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

Plus, former Bolivian President Evo Morales posted on Twitter: “We join efforts to find the missing people and aid the victims”.

Brazilian Foreign Ministry indicated the Government “follows with concern the information on devastating earthquake that happened in Türkiye and Syria”.

The text indicated that through the Brazilian Cooperation Agency and in coordination with nations damaged, the Brazilian Government is presently providing avenues to provide humanitarian aid to the affected people.

Argentine President Alberto Fernandez expressed his sorrows and assured the Argentine embassies in those States will provide necessary attention and assistance.

Ecuador, Mexico, El Salvador and Nicaragua, among others, also expressed their sorrows.

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador informed his country will send humanitarian assistance to Türkiye and Syria, while his Salvadoran counterpart Nayin Bukele assured his government “is willing to provide any assistance to overcome this disastrous event”. Similarly, Felix Plasencia, ALBA-TCP Executive Secretary, expressed his solidarity with Türkiye and Syria.
