As the military man told Rossiya 24 on Monday, the positions of the Ukrainian army had significantly deteriorated over the past few hours in front of the offensive operation of the Russian troops.

Thanks to the positions reached, the Russian army and the Donbass people’s militia can control new terrain areas, increasing more effective attacks on the enemy, Marochko said.

He added that the Ukrainian high command is thus forced to increase workforce and armament supply to Seversk.

Marochko reported on February 3 that Ukraine’s Armed Forces’ group, now located in Seversk, could be surrounded soon.
