The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the blockade in a statement, pointing out that it is a collective punishment against all Palestinian civilians, especially children, women and the elderly. The aggression is also a blow to the Palestinian economy and an obstacle to the lives of citizens.

Numerous troops assaulted the Aqabat Jabr refugee camp, next to the city, on Saturday night, wounding 13 people and arresting at least 15.

The Tel Aviv Army blocked Jericho after a shooting attack at a restaurant near the city.
