Executives of both organizations reaffirmed their willingness to continue promoting cooperation, dialogue and friendship relations with Cuba and also condemned the criminal blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba for over 60 years.
The Cuban ambassador gave these two organizations commemorative medal for the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).
Past Monday, Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid praised the willingness to boost bilateral relations with Cuba in different sectors.
Hamid referred to historical relations and bilateral collaboration and recalled the meeting held in 1973 between the leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, considered the father of Bangladesh.
The Cuban diplomat expressed his gratitude for Bangladesh’s traditional stance in support of the call made every year at UNGA to put an end to the unjust U.S. blockade against Cuba.
