The capital will host the 42nd Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the organization on February 15th and 16th.The 36th Session of heads of State and Government, known as the AU Summit, will take place on February 18th and 19th.
According to a notification from the Foreign Ministry, February 14th was set as the day for the arrival of the first attendants, although some could arrive before that date.
“We carried out multi-faceted coordination, without forgetting any details, and are prepared to receive them and show them the true image of our nation in the midst of the agreement to restore peace in the north,” Birtukan stated, according to the report.
She also urged federal agencies and the population to cooperate with the efforts made and also stated the measures that will be adopted to guarantee the safety and protection of those present.
