The head of state, during his visit to the territory of around six thousand inhabitants, spoke with neighbors and local authorities who worked together to repair medical offices, butcher shops, restaurants and warehouses, among other places.
According to a national television report, after a year of work in the demarcation it has been possible to improve streets, sidewalks and the provision of basic services.
The president called on the inhabitants of the territory to support the brigades that carry out constructive actions.
Díaz-Canel stressed that despite the difficulties imposed by the US blockade, “we must continue doing things with our own efforts.”
The president also addressed the process of nominating candidates for the National Assembly of People’s Power (parliament) that takes place in the country.
