Lukianovich thanked the participants in the maneuvers for the work carried out and emphasized on the high level of skill with which the exercises of the Union State Military Force were conducted, the Belta agency reported on Wednesday.

The exercises included air reconnaissance and support, joint patrols along the state border, destroying air defenses and command centers, the landing of airborne troops, the delivery of supplies and the evacuation of casualties.

The territory of Belarus hosted the training of aviation elements of the regional grouping of troops between January 16th and February 1st, the purpose of which was to improve interoperability during combat training tasks.

All airfields and ranges of the Belarusian Air and Air Defense Forces were involved in the maneuvers.

Minsk has repeatedly stressed that the exercises are exclusively defensive in nature and are not directed against anyone.

In early January, the Belarusian Ministry of Defense reported that the group continues to accumulate troops and is ready to carry out defense tasks for the Union States.
