Havana, Jan 30 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero, thanked intrnational solidarity to the Caribbean nation for the expressions the day before, in favor of ending the blockade imposed by the United States.

Through his Twitter account, the head of government highlighted “the bridges of love that support us so much and from various parts of the world demand the end of the economic, commercial and financial siege.”

In more than 20 cities of the United States, friends of the island demanded the end of the coercive measures from Washington the day before and in favor of rapprochement between the two peoples.

Similar demonstrations occurred in cities of Latin America and Europe.

In statements to Prensa Latina, the coordinator of the Puentes de Amor solidarity project, Carlos Lazo, pointed out that the initiative also paid tribute to the National Hero of Cuba José Martí, on the 170th anniversary of his birth.

The solidarity caravans take place on the last weekend of each month and, among other demands, they defend the family reunification program, the sending of remittances and trips to Cuba, affected by the more than 240 measures imposed during the mandate of Donald Trump (2017)-2021).
