Cuban Ambassador in Cairo Tania Aguiar wrote on Twitter that as part of their stay, the visitors toured the Egyptian Center for Disease Control, accompanied by Egyptian Deputy Health Minister Wael Abdel Razek.

In mid-January, another delegation of Cuban entrepreneurs and healthcare officials arrived in Egypt to strengthen bilateral cooperation in this field.

Deputy Health Minister Luis Fernando Navarro led that group.

Cuban Public Health Minister Jose Angel Portal visited Cairo in November 2022, when he was received by his Egyptian counterpart, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.
