The event was the climax of the activities on the 170th birthday of the Apostle of the Independence in Trinidad, which was declared a Cultural World Heritage by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
Prominent figures and scholars gathered at the National Museum of the Fight against Bandits addressed Jose Marti’s transcendence in present times, Besada, who is also the president of the Jose Marti Culture Society branch in this city, noted.
The motto of the event was “With All, and for the Good of All.”
The Julio Antonio Mella University Center, and the Municipal Council of the Cultural Society, in the province of Sancti Spiritus, sponsored the forum.
Besada praised the works that dealt with different facets of the most universal of all Cubans, the revolutionary committed to his homeland, he stressed.
