Minneapolis in a campaign to remove Cuba from US unilateral list

Washington, Jan 29 (Prensa Latina) Good-will people in the US city of Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Sunday accompany the international caravan to demand an end to Washington's blockade against Cuba and the Caribbean island's removal from the list of alleged state sponsors of terrorism.

Carlos Lazo, the coordinator of the Bridges of Love solidarity project, invited people in Saint Paul or Minneapolis to participate in the solidarity demonstration.

According to his official Facebook account, the event would be held at the South High School parking lot at 3131 19th Ave So in Minneapolis.

Participants will line up their cars at 13:00 hours, local time, and take the floor to ratify their support for Cuba.

The Cuban professor explained that the caravan would leave at 13:30 hours, local time, and after touring several sectors of the city, they would end at the starting point.

“Caravan in Minneapolis, Minnesota! For the end of the blockade, For Cuba to be taken off the list of terrorist countries,” Lazo stressed.

On Sunday, more than 20 cities in the United States and the world will demand to build bridges of love with Cuba and the end of the coercive measures from Washington.

On another international day of the caravan for the end of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the US on Cuba for more than six decades, activists will take to the streets with messages to get the two peoples closer.

Cuba’s inclusion in the US list of alleged state sponsors of terrorism reinforces the dissuasive and intimidating impact of the blockade, as well as Cuba’s difficulties in international trade and financial operations, the Cuban Foreign Ministry stated.
