As reported by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday, Lavrov also referred to the package of agreements reached, in this regard, together with the United Nations Organization.
The head of Russian diplomacy also briefed the Eritrean leadership in detail on the reasons, goals and tasks of the special military operation in Ukraine.
Lavrov, in his statements, also made reference to Washington and its satellite’s attempts to involve African countries in a West hybrid war against Russia.
In turn,the Eritrean authorities also discussed with Lavrov issues about the preparations for the second Russia-Africa Summit to be held in July 2023 in the city of Saint Petersburg.
Both sides stressed the importance of the upcoming forum, aimed at giving a new boost to the promotion of Russia’s long-term multi-partnership with African countries, based on the proven traditions of friendship and solidarity and on the fundamental principles of international laws.
