After several days of debate, the V International Conference for the Balance of the World enters the final stretch today on the eve of the 170th anniversary of José Martí’s birth, whose ethical values appear as a constant reference in the forums of the event.

During the event, with the assistance of over a thousand delegates from almost 90 nations, the participants have highlighted the full validity of Martí’s thought in forging a world of equity, solidarity and inclusion.

In this balance that has been repeatedly discussed at the event, numerous delegates have pointed out that it goes beyond the importance of the independence of Cuba to contain the “seven league giants” as defined by the United States, but also in the entire context: international, political and social.
