As Kimakovski explained to the Soloviov Live television channel, the Russian army occupied positions on the outskirts of Ugledar, west of Donetsk, and are halting possible counterattacks from Ukrainian nationalists.

He stated that the Russian artillery fires at enemy troops to prevent them from regrouping and going on the offensive.
