The Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey and the International Center for Productive Investment in Venezuela signed the document in the presence of President Nicolás Maduro and Turkish Trade Minister Mehmet Mus.
Previously, on Tuesday evening, in an event held in Ayacucho Hall at Miraflores Palace, governments headquarters, the head of State received the trade minister and a multidisciplinary team of experts in the area, so as to review strategic alliances.
Venezuela’s Sectoral Vice-President for Economy, Tareck El Aissami, referred to the commercial exchange between the two nations, which exceeded 800 million dollars in 2021 and averaged 500 million dollars between 2017 and that year.
Mus expressed that this visit will improve relations between Venezuela and Türkiye and asserted that Presidents Nicolás Maduro and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan have always shown us the right path to enhance bilateral relations, as well as have opened the way for economic and trade ties.
Regading to the latter, Maduro, reminded that in the worst circumstances experienced by his nation, between 2017 and 2020, Erdoğan “was always” beside Venezuela with a loving and caring hand.
