According to Yocasta Lara, Deputy Director of the National Health Service, the new cases are two foreigners and three nationals, who have already been hydrated and stabilized.
Ms. Lara said that 11 people are currently hospitalized, equivalent to 3% out of the 289 beds available to treat cholera patients.
As many as 8,700 general tests have been carried out from October to date and 1,900 houses have been searched by health authorities for active cases.
Eladio Pérez, Deputy Collective Health Minister, urged to take care of themselves by sanitizing food and consuming drinking water.
