‘Alone we are worth little, united we can have an overwhelming force,’ the president said when welcoming the heads of State of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) present at the meeting, held at the Sheraton Hotel in Buenos Aires.
In his speech, Fernandez said that the world has undergone changes and Covid-19 have shown the shortcomings of the economic system.
I believe that a new opportunity is opening up for us; CELAC is back along with Brazil, said the Argentine head of State, who highlighted the possibilities of growing together. The only thing we have to do is to respect each other in diversity and deepen our dialogue, those attending the summit have been elected by their people. We need to respect each other and grow together.
I believe we have a great opportunity ahead of us, emphasized Fernandez, who invited us to move forward in the continent. The reality is that we have to turn desires into institutions and facts; we have to make integration a reality, which are actions that allow us to make progress, he said.
