The entity stressed in a dispatch that the Islamic Jihad militiamen behind bars announced a protest if Zaid Bsisi, one of their leaders, is transferred from Eshel Prison to Gilboa Prison.
A week ago, Adb Obaid, another of the militia’s leaders, was sent to Gilboa jail from Megiddo prison.
Speaking about the same issue, Riyad Al-Ashqar, Director of the Gaza-based Palestinian Center for Prisoner Studies, said that the continuous transfers are aimed at weakening the unity of the detainees.
Since early 2023, the IPS moved 220 inmates, although the number may affect some 2,000, Al-Ashqar warned.
