According to an official dispatch, released on Saturday by the Nova News website, the Italian Foreign Minister will discuss with the Egyptian leaders international issues of common interest such as instability in Libya, the situation in the Middle East and the conflict in Ukraine.

His meeting with Shoukry will take place tomorrow in Cairo, and a joint press conference is scheduled after it.

On January 13th, upon returning from a visit to Türkiye, Tajani stated during an interview with the Rai television channel that some of Italy’s priorities is working on a pact with the countries of origin and with the most important states through which migratory flows passes and the stability of the Libyan government.

“Egypt and Türkiye are two big countries that have influence in Libya and are transit countries, they have immigration problems and it is necessary to find a common solution,” the minister said.

“We must ensure that an electoral solution is reached in Libya, but this can be done with an agreement between the parties involved: Egypt and Türkiye, as is Italy too,” the official added.

During the visit, a meeting with the Italian business community is also scheduled to address the increase in investment, economic and commercial activities in Egypt.
