Following the conclusion of the annual Pakistan-Russia Intergovernmental Commission session, both parties agreed that late March is the deadline for crude oil exports.
Malik revealed that Pakistan wants to import 35 percent of its total fuel needs from Russia, Islamabad Post reported.
Meanwhile, Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov, visiting the country, also stated that Pakistan would pay for energy purchases to Russia in currencies of friendly nations.
Last year, the Pakistani Government sent officials to Russia, after which the oil minister declared that Moscow would sell crude oil at a discount.
