According to Sputnik, Burns met with his Ukrainian intelligence counterparts and President Zelensky and reaffirmed continued support for Ukraine in its defense against Russia.
Zelensky and other members of his team left the meeting with the CIA chief, with the impression that the Biden administration’s support remains strong, and he will receive large sums of money until July or August, the information stated.
It should be noted that in December, the US Congress approved emergency funds,estimated in 45 billion dollars, for the Ukrainian Government.
On the other hand, the US Department of Defense acknowledged that since 2014, it has committed more than 29.5 billion dollars in security assistance to Kiev and 26.7 billion dollars since Russia launched its special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022.
