Without disclosing name, the individual is said to have been responsible for mobilizing road blockades in Rio de Janeiro and was found in a Espírito Santo inn.
Such a police raid, conducted within the framework of Operation Ulysses which started on January 16, targeted two other people investigated for leading extremist acts, including invasion and depredation of public buildings of the three branches of government in Brasília.
In addition to the temporary arrests, the PF served five search and arrest warrants.
According to PF, “it was possible to collect evidence capable of linking those investigated in the organization and leadership of the incidents”.
The investigation was aimed at identifying local leaders who blocked Campos dos Goytacazes roads and organized protests in front of the Army barracks.
For the time being, the facts under investigation are criminal association, violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law and incitement of the Armed Forces against the institutional powers.
