The event is part of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW2023) agenda and will address issues such as advances in the production, conversion, transportation, storage and use of hydrogen.
It will include high-level discussions focusing on the development of the hydrogen economy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the role of government and regulation, and panel discussions on a wide range of topics including innovation, sustainable financing, Green energy in Africa and the hydrogen value chain.
The event brings together heads of state, policy makers, industry leaders, investors, youth and entrepreneurs, in a series of powerful dialogues prior to the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP28), to be held in the UAE between November 30th and December 12th of this year.
COP28, the Emirates Climate Conference, will conclude the first global inventory of the Paris Agreement, which will assess the progress made by countries with their national climate plans.
Ahead of COP28, ADSW2023 will provide a platform for vital dialogues between key stakeholders and decision makers, while forging partnerships and presenting innovative solutions to deliver an inclusive energy transition.
The Green Hydrogen Summit will support the development of the UAE’s green economy and the global energy transition, it will also pave the way for COP28 in the UAE, which is committed to the use of hydrogen as a key component of a future low-carbon energy market, in the words of the organizers.
The event is held in collaboration with the Hydrogen Council, the Atlantic Council, the International Renewable Energy Agency and Dii Desert Energy.
