According to the General Migration Directorate (DGM), the arrests were made in Santo Domingo, Santiago, La Vega, Dajabón, Elías Piña, Independencia and Pedernales provinces.

DGM stated the raids were conducted in coordination with the Armed Forces and the National Police, under supervision of Migratory Interdiction Team.

Venancio Alcántara, Migration Director-General, reiterated his commitment to strengthening migration policies and reinforcing actions to counteract unlawful entry into Dominican Republic.
