Cuba’s Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez sent a message on Twitter expressing Cuba´s solidarity for Alieu Joof´s sudden death.

We offer our deepest condolences to Gambian people and government on the occasion of the death of Vice President Badara Alieu Joof.

Cuba and Gambia established diplomatic relations in 1979, and for over 30 years both nations have sustained health cooperation.
