The Ministry of Foreign Affairs quoted a tweet from Foreign Minister Yván Gil, who responded to a spokesperson from the US State Department, who assured that Washington would keep the sanctions intact on the South American nation.
The only thing currently intact is the will of our people to overcome the pretensions of imperialist vileness, the minister affirmed and added that after the recurrent US failures, “arrogance and immorality would be things of the past”.
Gil assured the persistence of that policy that places the North American State at the margin of International Law.
The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry denounced the implementation of over 900 unilateral coercive measures imposed by the US administration in seven years, for which it filed a complaint before the International Criminal Court in February 2020 for crimes against humanity.
On Monday, Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez denounced an ongoing destabilizing plan against Venezuela directed by the United States and intended to use the workers.
