“The air defense forces and our Black Sea Fleet have already shot down eight unmanned aerial vehicles over the sea by now. Not any facility in the city or in the sea has sustained damage. Let me stress: all the drones have been shot down over the sea,” Razvozhayev wrote on his Telegram channel.
He also denied the Ukrainian reports about explosions in the city, aimed at creating panic, uncertainty for the residents, and a false view of the conflict.
According to Razvozhayev, the air forces keep control of the airspace, and the operational services remain vigilant to any threat.
Sevastopol is the Black Sea Fleet’s main naval base, which is an essential point for enemy drones, one of the latest attacks with these devices on that site was conducted overnight on January 7.
On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation to “demilitarize and denazify” the Kiev Government.
