On Twitter, Esteban Lazo acknowledged relevant scientific breakthroughs throughout the Cuban history and praised that “they are the pride of the Homeland, the result of Fidel Castro´s vison and the work of the Revolution”.
Since 1990, Cuba celebrates Science Day on January 15 to recognize the Cuban scientists´ work and achievements.
Earlier, Elba Rosa Perez, Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA) Minister, said that the use of the most diverse and profound knowledge will be key for the country to face present issues.
