The minister participated in the Summit’s panel on education and reaffirmed that Cuba, as president of the G-77 plus China, has proposed to defend the universal access to inclusive, equitable, and quality education as a driver of development.
Saborido highlighted the role of human resources training in developing countries during the event in India.
The Summit brought together representatives from 125 developing countries from Africa, Latin America, and Asia, via videoconference, on January 12 and 13, under the theme “Unity of Voice, Unity of Purpose.”
India hosted the Voice of the Global South Summit at a time when the planet is going through a difficult period marked by challenges on health care, food security, energy, financing, technologies, and economic growth.
