AU Commission Chairman Moussa Faki Mahamat and Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang signed the declarations of willingness in Addis Ababa to join forces and resources in programs with those objectives.
During a meeting, Faki Mahamat and Gang assessed the state of the bilateral ties and strengthened ways to enhance multifaceted partnership between Africa and China, the regional body and the Ethiopian Government Communication Service reported.
On Wednesday, the two officials also inaugurated the new headquarters of the African Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the first phase of which was completed.
According to reports, the remaining works are scheduled to be completed soon.
Gang arrived in Ethiopia on Tuesday on a working tour that includes visits to Gabon, Angola, Benin, and Egypt.
