Dr. Estrella detailed public health ministry is presently continuing the house-to-house screenings in different sectors including La Zurza and Capotillo, where a 68-test random collection was conducted.
“Out of these tests, we only detected four positive cases. Two of them in completely asymptomatic patients and two others admitted to the hospital,” Dr. Estrella said.
The specialist said the Dominican Public Health System is presently working together with the Santo Domingo Water and Sewage Corporation and Ministries of Education, Environment and Public Works in order to prevent the disease from spreading nationwide.
