The Algerian Foreign Ministry´s statement expressed its rejection to all actions generating chaos and destabilization in Brazil, while reaffirming Algeria’s support for the democratic pathway that resulted in Lula´s election as president. Ultra-right former president Jair Bolsonaro´s supporters on Sunday stormed the Congress, the Supreme Court and the Planalto Palace in Brasilia, in an attempted coup against Lula.
