Montevideo, Jan 8 (Prensa Latina) Uruguay intends to set an agenda in its relations with the government of President Luis Inácio Lula da Silva, whose arrival to Uruguay is scheduled for January 25th.

The Secretary of the Presidency Álvaro Delgado said that Brazil is Uruguay’s main trading partner, so they hope that this visit will ‘start to set a common diplomatic and commercial agenda of openness on how to think about Mercosur’.

He announced that it will be a moment of opportunities for bilateral relations and for the national interests of Uruguay.
