The head of the AEI, Hasan Salarie, said that together with the Secretariat of the Supreme Space Council they are determined to implement the final document of the entity’s first official meeting for the most relevant project of the next decade.
According to the document, in the next 10 years, the Islamic Republic of Iran will become the leading country in the region in developing space technologies and providing space launch services.
Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi on Thursday praised Iran’s achievements in the space industry, as he pointed out the rapid progress in this field is a demonstration of the failure of Western sanctions and plots to isolate the Islamic Republic.
After assessing the efforts to formulate the 10-year vision of Iran’s space industry, the president stressed the synergy of the country’s capabilities in the space sphere.
Raisi considered this sphere as one of the driving sectors and one of great investment for the country, because its full implementation could increase the power of other industries and the development of various sciences at a national level.
The head of government said that by gaining the scientific ability to place a domestically-made satellite in geostationary orbit, Iran will pevent enemies’ threats and sanctions in the field of satellite and TV channel broadcasting.
