The Foreign Minister will meet on Monday with senior managers from Exim Bank, Excel Entertainment, Reliance and CEOs of important companies linked to the merchant marine industry.
She will also participate in the Voices of the South Summit, priority of the Global South: Ensuring an Enabling Environment, hosted by the Government of India under its G20 Presidency.
This is the first time that a Panamanian foreign minister travels to India in the last 15 years.
From this Sunday until Tuesday, January 10th, Mencomo will visit the city of Indore, in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, to participate in the 17th Pravas Bharatiya Divas 2023 Conference, which will focus on Latin America, as part of the efforts of the Indian government to unite its diaspora for national development.
The event will be opened by the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and will be attended by the President, Drupadi Murmu, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
Mencomo’s program of activities includes meetings with the Indian foreign minister, and the presidents of Suriname, Chan Santokhi, and of Guyana, Irfaan Ali.
