According to SENASA, Honduras will be able to scale down the risk of spreading bird flu cases and shields national poultry production thanks to the implementation of such a strategy.

Laura Suazo, President of permanent emergency group for bird flu outbreak in Honduras, assured that the national plan provides legal and operational certainty to SENASA´s measures.
This plan bans the handling of dead or sick birds, both marine and wild; as well as their feces or remains and any surface or water sources that may be contaminated, among other actions.
