It also recalled that the decision to create the joint air force was made and is being implemented solely aimed at strengthening the security and defense of the State of the Union, based on the current situation near the borders of both nations.
It was previously reported that Russian and Belarusian military personnel are currently conducting combat coordination exercises at the Brestsky training grounds.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, in a meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, said that the two forces are being prepared as a single army and coordinating the ways to repel any aggression.
