As a result, Commodore José Miguel Díaz Escrich, serving as Port Officer in Cuba for the Ocean Cruising Club Association since 2000, received Commodore Simon Currin, UK high-ranking official of the association, at the Club’s headquarters.
Attended by members of the Hemingway International Yacht Club, Escrich on Wednesday officially welcomed Mr. Currin and his wife, Sally.
Commodore Escrich expressed his gratitude for Currin´s visit that will contribute to strengthening friendship and collaboration ties with the UK and international nautical, and also granted Mr. Currin a commemorative plaque for the 30th Anniversary of the Hemingway International Yacht Club, as well as a Club pennant.
Commodore Currin said he was very happy for the Cuban hospitality and described as highly positive the work done by Commodore Escrich as Port Officer of Ocean Cruising Club in Cuba.
