The increase in these operations was 89.4 percent compared to the same period in 2021, as reported by the Union of Exporters of Uruguay with payments data published by the Central Bank.
According to statistics, foreign sales between July and September of last year reached 1,510 million dollars.
At the forefront was the communications and information technology sector with exports worth 408 million dollars, compared to 216 million in the same quarter of 2021, followed by tourism, which had a turnover of 386 million dollars.
Other spheres that increased their sales were business services, transportation and financial services, the latter with an increase of 106.1 percent.
