The Ka-52M is a modernized version of the Ka-52 ‘Alligator’ helicopter (NATO reporting name Hokum-B) incorporating the experience gained by their use in combat.
The manufacturers explained that the missile armament of the Ka-52M is at the level of that used by the Mi-28NM, which will significantly increase the range when used against various targets.
The aircraft uses Russia’s best technical solutions in its design, as well as a gyro-stabilized optoelectronic system with greater target detection and recognition range, and a new digital unit that allows increasing the accuracy of its cannon.
The Ka-52M can operate alongside UAVs and interact with other fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft during combat operations.
According to the Ministry, deliveries of upgraded helicopters will continue during the current year, as well as the latest-generation aircraft, which are produced at the Arsenyevsky aviation plant in Primorsky Oblast.
