Haj Hassan emphasized that the relationship is closely followed up and watched by the political leadership of the two nations and recommendations of the president of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The minister announced the preparations to hold an upcoming meeting on Arab agriculture through reunions and gatherings.
Haj Hassan offered details of the establishment of an agricultural quartet among the countries of the region, which includes Jordan, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon, in order to promote a broad market for agricultural products.
Speaking on the same subject, the director of the Arab Beekeepers Union, Fathi Al-Behairi, reaffirmed that the union’s capacities are at the disposal of the Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture, with the intention of promoting joint cooperation at the level of exchange of experiences.
These meetings are parts of Minister Haj Hassan’s visit to Cairo last December, which had the purpose of easying bilateral agricultural import and export operations.
