According to DNCD, during a several-hour joint operation, maritime, air and land units tracked down and intercepted a 23-foot-long speedboat a few miles from Boca Chica trying to smuggle nine cocaine bales into Dominican territory.

Six Dominicans and one Venezuelan were arrested, who will be brought to justice in coming few hours for breaching the Law on Drugs and Controlled Substances.

In addition to the cocaine bales, a 60-horsepower outboard motor, three GPS, a compass, three satellite phones, four life jackets, three fuel bottles, first aid kit and backpacks with clothes, among other evidences, were seized.
