The sources said the military responded with intense heavy artillery shelling to violations by radicals of the so-called Levant Liberation Board in de-escalation zone in the northern province of Idlib.
The extremists’ positions in the localities of Khirbet al-Naqous and al-Sarmaniyeh in the northwestern plain of al-Ghab, and in the vicinity of the villages of Marbalit, al-Fatira, Kaferwed, Sufuhn, Kansafra, Beinin and Ruwaiha in the southern countryside of Idlib, were hit by artillery shells, they added.
In the vast desert region of al-Badieh in the center of the country, army units clashed with remnant groups of the Islamic State terrorist organization, Daesh in Arabic, listed as an international terrorist organization, in Hama, Palmyra, Raqa and Deir Ezzor.
Several of the jihadists have been killed and the motorcycles they were using were destroyed, officials said.
